B-Squared Jazz Productions Presents: Scenes From A Dream
Trumpeter, composer and bandleader Billy Buss is emerging as a young innovator in the jazz idiom. Blending musical genres new and old, Buss keeps tradition alive while always pushing the music forward, searching for ways to create accessible yet raw, emotive and progressive art. With his debut album, Scenes From A Dream, released in January 2014, Buss embarks on a musical journey chock full of original compositions that feature seamless group interaction, rich harmonic soundscapes, and driving rhythmic grooves. For his CD release tour and this performance, he brings with him some of today’s most creative and virtuosic musicians around, Godwin Louis on alto saxophone, Mike Aaberg on piano, Scott Thompson on bass and Hamir Atwal on drums.
