Warm and witty singer Leslie Tchaikovsky performs an evening of music by Porter, Weill, Jobim and original works in her debut solo concert. Featuring Leslie Tchaikovsky on vocals, Ross Gualco on piano, Jeff Neighbor on bass and Jack Dorsey on drums.
Leslie’s penchant for bursting into song as a child led to a house rule: no singing at the dinner table. Family and career, including 22 years as a federal judge, diverted her musical passions for several decades. But, when time permitted, the passion returned with a vengeance. Over twenty years ago, she began studying classical piano and a few years later attending a piano camp in Vermont. It was there she began singing again. This led to private singing lessons and classes at the Jazzschool. Leslie has performed numerous times at the Jazzschool classes, but this concert will be her first solo performance.
