A workshop reviewing the fundamentals of music, including major scales, major scale harmony and the modes, and their use in improvisation. Students are given the opportunity to apply basic theoretical concepts to improvisation in class, including how to form musical phrases spontaneously as one would when taking a solo. A fun and supportive setting, laying the groundwork for the ongoing search for and development of one’s unique personal voice. Instrumentalists and vocalists of all levels welcome! Bring your instrument!
