About The Sound Room
The Sound Room is not your average jazz club. It is the downtown Oakland home of Bay Area Jazz & Arts, Inc (BAJA), a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. It is a music and art program by and for people who love music, especially jazz. BAJA focuses on programs that encourage understanding of Jazz, America’s original music tradition.
The club was designed for its conception to be an intimate listening environment where fans can get up close to the performers. This all ages venue offers healthy food, beer, wine and soft drinks with cabaret seating.
