PROOF OF VACCINATION:
The campus community at large must show proof of vaccination. Booster shots are highly recommended, but not required.

Masks are optional, but encouraged, in all other campus settings at this time.

AT A CONCERT:
Masking is required at all concerts until further notice.

Please note: For the optimal health and safety of all at the California Jazz Conservatory, kindly refrain from entering the campus if you are experiencing symptoms of illness of any kind.

Note: As a testing option, PMH Laboratory is available to conduct free weekly tests at the California Jazz Conservatory, beginning August 16, 2021.

The CDC advises to watch for the following symptoms in particular:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

COVID-Related Refund Policy

The California Jazz Conservatory will grant a refund to any CJC or Jazzschool student who becomes ill from COVID-19 or one of its variants for the remainder of the term, with verification from a licensed physician.

Campus Facilities Due Diligence

To mitigate the spread of COVID, the California Jazz Conservatory will take the following steps to ensure the health and safety of its campus community:

  • Provide every classroom at both our 2087 and 2040 Addison Street campus facilities with a BIOGS 2.0 Ultra Quiet Air Purifier by Rabbit Air. For more information, visit https://www.rabbitair.com/pages/about-us.
  • Expand janitorial service’s hours to sanitize classrooms and lavatories with CDC-approved products, including wiping down door handles, white boards and markers, music stands, chairs and table tops1.

CJC Campus Community Code of Conduct

In an effort to maintain the health and safety of the collective campus community, any participant violating the following health and safety guidelines to any extent will be given a verbal directive to correct the violation. If the verbal directive is not taken into account in a timely way, a written notice will be issued, dismissing the participant immediately, without either refund or renumeration, depending on the respective role of the participant.
