Jazzschool-Online Technical Notes All Jazzschool-Online classes meet online via Zoom. Technical requirements include: computer, tablet or phone with a reliable internet connection. Computer (laptop or desktop) is preferred, but a tablet or phone is also possible, with somewhat limited functionality. Optional for improved sound quality: external microphone, either connected via USB or XLR cable to audio interface. For a budget USB mic option, we recommend the Samson Go, currently retailing for around $50 new. Additional technical requirements are listed for specific classes below.

Beginning BassGet off to a strong start learning your instrument in this class covering the fundamentals of what it takes to be an effective bassist in any genre. From jazz to funk and everything in between, this class focuses on topics including, right and left-hand technique, finger dexterity, neck memorization, the parts of the bass, theory, reading, transcription and much more! Perfect for new musicians as well as seasoned instrumentalists with the desire to learn more. Prerequisites: none, open to all; students must bring a bass to class.

This class takes a deep study into his Legendary Lines, Deep Pocket, and that Warm and Fuzzy Tone! Study excerpts from artists like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, and The Temptations.
