Jazz soloist with Oakland Eastbay Symphony Orchestra; classical soloist with Napa Symphony Orchestra and other chamber symphonies. Festivals include North Sea Jazz Festival, Brno Jazz Festival in Czech Republic, Montreux Jazz Festival, Berlin Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Ravinia Festival, Leverkuzen Festival, INTERLINK Festival and California Edge Festival. Also performed and taught masterclasses at International Double Reed Society festivals from Rotterdam to Texas. Awards include: Robert Mondavi Woodwind concerto competition, 1984; NEA Jazz Fellowship, 1995; Grand Prize winner of JAZZIZ Magazine’s WOODWINDS ON FIRE award, 1996.
