Grammy® award winning engineer Reto Peter has been making records for 25 years in Europe, NYC and the San Francisco Bay Area and is credited on Gold and Platinum albums by Green Day, Modest Mouse, The Counting Crows, Flipsyde and many chart topping artists from his native Switzerland. In 2004, he was awarded the TEC Award for technical excellence in recording Green Day’s “American Idiot” and in 2022 he mixed the Grammy winning album “The Movement” by Alphabet Rockers. He operates The Teahouse Studio, his own professional production studio in Oakland, CA, and is an active member of the local audio community as a producer, engineer, teacher and voting member of the Recording Academy. He has been teaching audio classes at CJC since 2017 and designed and implemented CJC’s Klezmer Audio Lab and Mullenweg Recording Studio.
