CJC’s Giving Tuesday* initiative – “$25K for 25 years” – anticipates our upcoming Silver Anniversary in 2022.  Our goal for Giving Tuesday (November 30) is to raise $25,000 to help us continue our mission of educating future generations to sustain and promote jazz.
Proceeds from GivingTuesday will be used to help defray costs related to various programs and initiatives.
With your generous support and steadfast belief in our mission, the school has evolved from its early beginnings as a community music school to an institutionally accredited music conservatory, offering AA, BM, and MM degrees in Jazz Studies. Proudly, the California Jazz Conservatory is now positioned as the only music school in the country solely devoted to the study and performance of the African American treasured art form, jazz.
As we look back on the past 25 years, your continued support of our mission has been indispensable – especially in light of the many challenges we have faced and will surely face in the years ahead. We are committed to supporting and promoting the jazz art form based on what Dr. Anthony Brown  has superlatively described as “a twentieth-century urban dance music that has become globally celebrated as a cultural art form embodying the ideals of freedom and democracy.”
A gift of any amount will make a significant difference to forwarding our entire campus community.
For example:
$100 will provide two disadvantaged students with admission to a weekend workshop
$250 will help cover costs to produce a live concert.
$500 will support a workshop taught by a top jazz artist-educator
$1,000 will provide new music for the programs’ ensemble library
$5,000 will underwrite much-needed maintenance of the school’s instruments and equipment for a year
Again, the California Jazz Conservatory wishes to express its tremendous gratitude for the outpouring of support this past 25 years. We thank you in advance for giving us the opportunity to embark on our next quarter of a century.
